Situated just off Marylebone High Street, in London, Daylesford’s organic farm shop and cafe is a great spot for a truly wonderful breakfast tempting with a fresh and seasonal menu. Most of the produce comes from the farm of its family owners in the Cotswolds. The place offers a big variety of dishes with traditional and more adventurous mix of flavours, which are made using organic ingredients.
The decor of the restaurant feels light, elegant and spacious. It has a mixture of whites, beige and natural accents. Visitors can relax with their families and friends, as well as people can be spotted working away on their laptops. The staff is friendly and always willing to help to choose the best dishes according to preferences.
For breakfast we tried scrambled eggs on toast and yogurt. The scrambled eggs was very light and bread was exceptional. The organic yogurt came with honey, rhubarb and seeds, and also was delicious. The flavours were balanced very well.
Those looking for light breakfast options, will surely be tempted by a wide variety of natural yogurt, goji berry and flax seed Bircher, as well as stewed fruits. Whereas when in need of something more substantial, a Daylesford farmhouse breakfast offers sausages, fried eggs, streaky bacon, grilled tomatoes, sourdough toasts with grilled portobello mushrooms.
To drink, apart from many standard suggestions, the restaurant also offers some alternative, but very fashionable, options, such as nut-milk coffees.
The farmshop offers a wide range of healthy products to take home. Visitors can choose from different kinds of vegetables and fruits grown on the farm, bread from their own bakery, milk, cheese and yogurt from creamery. If products are not produce by the farm directly, they are sourced in the area from other sustainable sources.
Breakfast at Daylesford Farm is a refreshing and delicious experience.
